60 years of wedding bliss were celebrated last night at The Jervis Gallery in St Vincent's College in Gosport. It was a privilege to join Eilean's and John's family and friends to celebrate this momentous occasion. Even Her Majesty The Queen had a sent the couple a celebratory card!!
The occasion gave us the opportunity to include some of our golden oldies in our playlist so we enjoyed performing 'God Only Knows' and 'Wouldn't It Be Nice' by The Beach Boys, 'You'll Never Walk Alone' by Gerry and The Pacemakers, 'When I Fall in Love' by Nat King Cole and several Beatles songs including 'Yesterday' and 'All You Need is Love'. Our last song was specifically requested by Eilean and John and was the 1965 hit 'Unchained Melody' by The Righteous Brothers.
Eilean and John's 60 years together shows us all what marriage is truly about, so we hope that they are both able to share many many more happy anniversaries.
