The string quartet is a member of a group called 'Last Minute Musicians'. Last Thursday they lived up to their name as we had a last minute enquiry for the string quartet to play for an Army Officer's Reunion Dinner at 103BN REME in Portsmouth on the following Saturday evening.
We dealt with Gary one of the Army Officers who was organising the dinner who after settling us into the mess dinning room rejoined his fellow officers who were then led into the dinning room by a bagpiper. It was a great evening we played a mix of classical, film and pop arrangements during the meal with the officer's showing their enjoyment of our music by applauding every song!
