Last night the string quartet was invited to play for the private viewing of the Winchester Portrait Exhibition which was held in the magnificent 13th century Great Hall in Winchester. The string quartet was very pleased to give it's support to the exhibition which was organised to raise funds for three local charities one of which The Friends of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Southampton General Hospital the string quartet supports.
The one hundred or so portrait photos of local Hampshire dignatories, artists and celebrities together with the fantastic art work and sculptures of Hampshire artist Nadine Collinson were beautifully presented in the atmospheric Great Hall beneath the legendary King Arthur's Round Table. Our compère for the evening Alastair Stewart OBE, the ITN News Presenter masterfully lead the evenings proceedings and we provided background music as the guests viewed the exhibition.
The exhibition runs every day between 26th April to 2nd May 2017 and is well worth a visit............
