Great Barn wedding Titchfield Hampshire


On Saturday the string quartet was at yet another new wedding venue for us The Great Barn at Titchfield. Built between 1409 to 1411 as part of Titchfield Abbey this medieval gem is the largest timber framed barn in Hampshire and one of the largest in England. Yesterday it provided the venue for Kirsty and Jame's wedding reception.

We set up near the entrance to the barn and provided music for the guests as they had their drinks and nibbles and then provided music during the wedding breakfast which comprised a BBQ and hog roast. Our only request was the Radetzky March by Strauss which we played as Kirsty and James entered the barn.

We were also joined for the first time yesterday by Veronica who helped us out by playing the violin II parts. It was a great afternoon despite the wet weather but it meant that we had a captive and I am very pleased to say appreciative audience...
