The string quartet has just done two lovely yet very different weddings this week in Surrey. Mid week we were back at the beautiful Cain Manor on the Surrey Hampshire border where we played for Kelly and Matt's civil wedding and reception. We set up in the Music Room with it's superb acoustics for the wedding ceremony and played 'Canon in D' by Pachelebl for the bride's arrival, 'Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin and 'Beauty and the Beast' for the signing of the register and 'Life On Mars' by David Bowie for the exit music.' We then moved to the garden gazebo for the drinks reception.
Our second wedding on Saturday and our first church wedding this year and was held at Christ Church in the London Borough of Sutton. We were told the church was huge, no exaggeration there!! and as a consequence and following discussions with our clients we made the decision to use the electric string quartet for the booking. Helen the bride arrived to 'Canon in D' by Pachelbel, for the signing of the register we played 'Can't Help Falling in Love' by Elvis Presley and 'Radetzky March' by Strauss and 'One Day Like This' by Elbow for the exit music. We then continued to play in the church for tea and cakes for guests and church members.
Here are a few photos of our two days in Surrey and congratulations to both couples...
