Three Choirs Vineyard wedding Hampshire

Yesterday the string quartet had the pleasure of playing for the wedding of Chris and Rosa amongst the vines at The Three Choirs Vineyard in Shedfield Hampshire.

The string quartet set up next to the wedding pavilion right in the heart of the vineyard where we played for the guests arrival. Chris had requested that we play extracts from the Handel's Water Music suite which fortunately wasn't an omen for the weather as the rain held off and the sun even paid us fleeting visits.

The wedding had a classical music theme with Rosa arriving to Wagner's Bridal Chorus. During the signing of the register we played Canon in D by Pachelbel and as both Chris and Rosa left the ceremony we played the 1st Movement of Symphony No 4 by William Boyce. We then joined the guests in the converted Old Winery Building for the drinks reception where we maintained the classical music theme but we included a few more popular arrangements as well!!

It was great to play in the vineyard but it would be nice to come back later in the year when the vines have all matured!! Congratulations to Chris and Rosa and thanks for the booking....
